Cement Rendering: A quick, easy and affordable way to renovate an old home — or a great way to save money when building a new one, transform an unfashionable brick home into a stylish contemporary dwelling. The look that is achieved is sleek, and modern, the outlay is exceeded by the increase in market value to the home.

Conventional Cement Render

• Cement Render: The usual old fashioned render mix is one part cement, one part lime and six parts sand.  Current cement render mix consists of 4 parts of sand, 1 part of cement and 10% of clay such as Fireclay, Builders Clay or Renderer’s Clay,  a very low cost mixture suitable for cement rendering  good condition Brick and Concrete Block walls.

Acrylic Render

• Acrylic Render:  is a high performance pre-mixed polymer render allowing quick and easy thin section of rendering, suitable for fibre cement sheeting(blueboard) polystyrene sheets, sills and mouldings, Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (AAC) or (Hebel), Existing Painted Walls and Concrete or where a conventional render mix will not adhere to substrate and are more waterproof than cement renders.

Acrylic Modified Render

• Acrylic Modified Render: such as  High Performance Mac Render, Rockote PM100 and Unitex Polymer Render in a bag are pre blended with  5- 30% cement content and are provided in a dry powder form in a bag and mixed with water to provide a wet mix, suitable to render areas same as normal cement rendering applications but with additional bonding water resistant and impact strength suitable for Autoclaved Concrete (AAC), Blocks or Panels off-Form concrete, Calsil bricks and  some types of extruded or expanded polystyrene block panels.

Acrylic Texture Coatings and Paints

• Grano-Trowl and Similar products : are durable high build acrylic texture coating systems 1.5, 2, and 3 mm trowed on to produce Travertine  or Circular Styles usually over coated with Grano-Impact  100% Acrylic Paint or Grano-Skin Elastomeric  decorative Membrane, all Manufactures produce similar  products, Unitex, Granosite, Acratex, Rockote CSR e.t.c. Some are easier to handle than others and the finish look can vary a little.

• Grano-Impact : Looks like just normal paint but has good adhesion to a wide variety of Substrates including Cement Render and Texture coatings, and excellent resistance to mould and fungi, It’s fully Acrylic and Salt spray has no effect on it, can bridge over cracks and has low dirt retention, on a scale 0-10=1 per 12 months tested, the Vapour permeability is carefully controlled to form a barrier to external moisture, while allowing vapour in the substrate to escape, however the coating must not be subject to hydrostatic pressure

• Grano-Skin Decorative Membrane or Similar products: is a single pack high performance elastomeric acrylic coating suitable for internal and external use, for surfaces where effective waterproofing and flexible decorative wall finish is require, an alternative top coat for cement render and many texture systems, Fibre Cement Sheets CSR Power panel and Autoclaved Aerated concrete (AAC) extruded and expanded polystyrene Systems, however the coating must not be subject to hydrostatic pressure, highest rating to bridge over cracks and elasticity and salt spray has no effect on it

• Acratex Tuscany, Mac Sandstone and Grano-Modena Sand Finishes: are approximate 2mm thick coatings and applied by trowel, comprising of mineral sand and other acrylics, used to enhance the rendered surfaces  creating a sophisticated grainy textured finish
